2011 Summer Camp East

With Higashi Sensei
Reflections!
On behalf of CRNB let me thank you for coming to Rothesay NB and making this summer camp a success and so much fun. The challenges Higashi Sensei presented in Sai and Bo were great as it allowed us the opportunity to enjoy experiences not always available at regular classes. Your participation not only made the whole experience memorable it was encouraging to us as we look forward to next year when we invite you to return with one or two more Chito Ryu family members, August 16 -19, 2012 when we try to top the great event it was this year.
A big thank you to Higashi Sensei and all the Renshi and Shihan for their assistance. The BBQ and entrainment could not have been better we had a great team looking after it. Already we have had wonderful and encouraging comments, we really appreciate hearing from you.
We hope to have pictures posted on our web site soon so if you have pictures of the Summer Camp in the Dojo or at the BBQ or anywhere in between you can share with us, then send them to Mike Quinn. Don't forget to tell everyone what they missed:)

PS: The date for next year's camp is August the 17th weekend, 2012, please mark your calendars accordingly!

Please extend my sincere thanks to your provincial association and to the members of your respective dojo’s who have volunteered their time and efforts to putting together such an amazing summer camp for this year, August 2011.
The organizing efforts are truly magnificent. Thank you for your warm and wonderful hospitality. Special thanks to the “Pond” family for opening their home (BBQ) to us once again and the wonderful entertainment provided by Mr.Pond as well as Mike from PEI supplying us with a short form of “ Saturday Evening Live” at the “Hammond River Anglers Association”.
And to those many individuals who remain in the background that deserve recognition I would like to thank them individually on behalf and as representative of the Nova Scotia Chito-Ryu.
Have a Nice Day

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful summer camp. I can’t say enough about how grateful we are to be part of such an incredible organization. It takes events like this, to bring us all together at a karate level and at a personal level.
It was said many times this weekend by Sensei Smith and Sensei Ferri, that it is so important to support each other and each others events in order to maintain the bond that is needed to keep Chito Ryu strong and growing.
NB Chito Ryu deserves a pat on the back. This was a wonderfully structured camp and the food was amazing. Our Students had a great time and hopefully we will be back next year with even more students!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Sincerely,
Dawn and Mike Brown & the rest of the West River School of Karate students.

I just wanted to thank you all for allowing me to participate in the now-completed camp in Rothesay. The venue, the social events, and most of all, the gracious hospitality demonstrated by everyone made it a lovely and memorable experience for me, and, I’m sure, everyone who came. That we managed to squeeze in a little karate was a bonus.
The Maritimes has a reputation for offering a warm welcome, and your members more than lived up to it.
Thanks again. If you’ll have me, I’ll be back.
Best regards,
Bruce Phillipson
