Canadian Chito-Ryu Clinic being sponsred by Nova Scotia Chito-Ryu Association and the Shelburne Karate Club being held in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. All members from NB Chito-Ryu are invited to attend.

The 2009 Chito Ryu Atlantic Easter Tournament was a great success with over 80 competitors and 18 officials from all the Atlantic Provinces. KV Karate Club hosted the event for Chito Ryu NB and David Erskine was responsible for co-coordinating the event, he organized the volunteer base, refreshments for the officials and volunteers, correspondence throughout the Atlantic provinces, tournament registration and other details that needed attention. To Dave a great deal of thanks is in order for his time and commitment to this event.
To the volunteers behind the scenes your time and work preparing the tournament floor, taking care of the score tables, clean up during and after the event and everything that had to be done in between.
I want to thank the Officials who took the time to be here and for the excellent manner they carried themselves with the responsibility of having a fair and safe tournament.
The First Responders were very important to the safety of the competitors and were ready for any emergency that might arise.
Finally to the competitors and the parents who brought most of them, thank you for coming and congratulations to all of you, even if you did not win a medal you were all winners for participating.

Regular & Easter Classes
This Wednesday April 8th we have regular class in Rothesay. Tournament is on Saturday. There will be no class on Easter Sunday - enjoy it with family.
Easter Draw Fundraiser
The winner of the $200.00 Sobeys gift certificate is SONJA PRINS
Overall Hampton & KV raised over $1,700.
This is by far the best ticket draw we have ever had.
Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this possible. Also we thank Sobey's and the Communities for helping support our clubs.
Chito-Ryu N.B. Tournament
KV Karate will be hosting the Chito-Ryu N.B. (NBCR) Tournament in our very own dojo in Rothesay on Saturday April 11th starts at 10:00am.
It is strongly encouraged that members participate, it greatly improves one's karate training. It is also local so take advantage and attend.
Anyone (children and adults) wishing to participate or volunteer to help out are asked to contact or see David Erskine - Brown belt (Email). Registrations must be completed by This Sunday April 5th class along with payment. Sign up sheets are on the table by the gym entrance.
* All participants must wear appropriate protective gear as mandated by provincial regulations. (mouth guard, groin protector - jill / jock). Additional equipment such as gloves, head and chest gear can be provided by the club.
