 Yvon Gionet is moving to Toronto, after devoting many years of guidance and leadership to the New Maryland Karate Club. He will continue his training at Sensei Higashi's dojo. We wish him and his family all the best, and look forward to his visits back "home" in the future. Bonne chance, Yvon! |

Laurie Mazerolle was a member of the New Brunswick men's team which was defeated by team Nova Scotia. The men ended up with a fourth place Bronze medal. Laurie also fought very hard in his individual competition but lost his first match against the reigning Canadian/Pan American and US Open champion Chris DeSousia Costa.
Kate Campbell had her most successful Nationals to date with a fifth place finish in woman's Kata, Gold medal in under 21 Kumite and Silver Medal in Women's Open Weight Kumite. An all-around amazing performance, Way to go Kate!!
